Wanted to order Mantu but they were sold out and its Friday, they dont have any Naan/roti/bread either. So bought the following chicken kebob Chaplee and lamb kebobs. Chicken and Lamb were cooked great, but Chaplee was made from old stale ground beef. That was BAD. Rice are nothing like Afghani palao, they smelled like indian rice from next door restaurant. There was no shredded carrots or any beef stock to give the pure afghani flavor. The chutney was not spicy or flavorful. I come from afghani background so believe me when I say it needs to feel authentic not confused. And prices for the amount qualify of food was High! Sad was really looking forward to it.
It was my first time visiting, but it definitely won't be my last! The food was phenomenal, my family was very pleased. I've never had lamb that tender before, they might have spoiled me from eating it anywhere else, lol. The salad tasted so fresh, and the rice was plentiful. The only negative is that it would've been nice if the rice had a little more flavor to it, but everything was really good and went well together. I wish that I could give more than 5 stars, so all that I can say is go see for yourself. You won't be disappointed.
Yeah fantastic. We tried the Mantou and chapli kabab. these were awesome. The beef roll was disappointing because it was just a pastry and was cold. The qabli pulao was soft and had had original smell but we didn't know you need to order meat separately. Potato naan was exquisite. Order spicy one. We also bought the dry sehtoot off the shelf. They were well preserved.
We liked the whole thing, setup, greetings, speed of delivery, quality of food. Medium range expenses. I would recommend the restaurant for quality Afghan food
Tried this restaurant recently. The food was mouth-wateringly delicious. The hosts are nice folks and the price is very reasonable. Just FYI, the seating is limited but most people seem to do take away. Try their chapli kabob and Kabuli pulao. Grilled chicken cubes and lamb was cooked to perfection.
I wish I could give more stars. I have been to Our Daily Bread and Grill several times and have loved each time. Everything is made fresh daily. All of the food is prepared with excellence. You can watch them cook everything through the window. I truly feel lucky that this husband and wife team decided to put their restaurant in Canton. When I go, I order extra to make sure I have leftovers. This place is in the permanent restaurant rotation for me! *Clean *Great service *Wonderful people *Delicious food *High quality *Generous portions *Good prices
Wow. This place is a diamond in the rough. Hard to find authentic Afghan food and the owners/cook husband and wife make amazing halal food and really friendly.. I tried all the meats except for the seeing kabob which I'll try next time. They make the bread fresh everyday and kabobs well marinated. Highly recommend to come here if you like kabob's.
I got carry out, ordered the family package so got an assortment of kebobs, savory Afghani rice, some Curry sauce and fresh naan bread. Lots of food, delicious, rich taste, perfect texture and spice to the kebobs, owners are very nice, food was well packaged. Their restaurant is small but clean, only 1 or 2 tables for dining in, really meant for carrying out or catering. Only Afghani restaurant in metro Detroit I believe. Enjoy!
